2. Number colors

A fully featured number generator should have as many filtering possibilities as possible.

The conclusion of the The Geometry of Chance study is that:

"although all bets are equally likely, behavior patterns obey different probabilities, which can make all the difference in the concept of games, benefitting gamblers that make use of the rational information revealed by the Geometry of Chance. "

We found this study interesting so we came up with a way to show the common pattern of each lottery we analyze and found out that, while some lottery games have a lower number colors repeat rate, such as the US Powerball number colors or EuroMillions number colors, the repeat rate of others is slightly higher. For example the UK Thunderball. As a result, we have included a number colors filter in our number generator which can be used to filter out only those number combinations that respect certain number colors.

The number generator contains 10 pre-defined color groups which can be used to generate numbers that follow certain number colors. Each color group contains a set of lottery numbers as follows:

The 49s color pattern

The 49s color pattern is quite different. It looks like so:

In our number generator, these pre-defined color groups actually represent, as you could probably figure out from the above, groups of numbers.

The groups of numbers can be custom re-defined in the number generator by using the "Numbers in position" filters.

In order to reflect how much these filters can reduce the number of generated results, let's take a look at a screen-shot where no number colors filter has been applied. So, numbers don't necessarily have to fall into any number/color group.

We have been wheeling 15 US Powerball numbers from the total of 69 available.

Although other filters have been applied, there is no color filters set up at this point. The generator returned, in the first stage (before applying any history filters) a total of 58 combinations, out of the 3,003 that could be generated from 15 numbers, as you can see in the screen-shot below:

Let's apply a color filter to the first three numbers in every generated combination. Green for the first number, also green for the second number and orange for the third. Since we don't set a number colors filter for the remaining two numbers, they can fall into any color group.

Based on the number colors filters applied, the number generator will only return the combinations that have the first AND the second numbers belonging to the green group. Furthermore, the third number must be from the orange group. All other numbers (fourth, fifth, etc...) will not have to fall into any color group.

The result: From the 58 number combinations that were available without the color filters applied, the number generator kept only 9.
49 (or 84.48%) of the combinations have been eliminated by these filters.

In the number generator, under this set of filters (or in the screen-shots) you probably noticed the "Show pattern of generated nrs" followed by the Yes/No buttons.
If generated results with the colors applied to the numbers, make sure the "Yes" button is highlighted and then generate your numbers/combinations. This will show the color group to which every number belongs even if no number colors has been applied.

If a number colors is applied applied to any of the numbers, the number generator will automatically color the numbers based on the group to which they belong.

There is no restriction regarding how many numbers can have a number colors filter applied. You can apply it to one or all the numbers, to the first second and third number or to the third and forth numbers only.

If the number colors is too restrictive, the number generator will let you know about it and will suggest a solution. For example, let's apply, to the same 15 US Powerball numbers we wheeled so far, a number colors filter like in the screen-shot below:

As you can see, the number generator returned... ZERO combinations because, based on the wheeled numbers, no combination can have a number colors like the one applied (all green). Or, we could say that no combination can have all numbers from the green group, which is the group that contains numbers 1 to 10.

Furthermore, the number generator informs us (see the green info boxes) about what needs to be done in order to actually have the number generator return some combinations. One possibility is to wheel more or other numbers while the other one is to adjust the Number colors filter.
